The residence was in its self -built on a farm courtyard outside Drøbak. Exemptions from the Agricultural Board were needed because the house was built 2m into a broken apple garden. The home was so area -efficient that it was too small to get a home bank loan. The house was also particularly well insulated compared to what was common at that time_dvs. A sustainable project before the concept was used in a building and architectural context.
